Lazonby Campsite
A cracking little option if you want a quiet Eden Valley pitch rather than a big commercial campsite, especially when the outdoor pool is open.
<p>Lazonby Campsite is a small, peaceful base on the edge of the village, close to the River Eden and immediately beside Lazonby Outdoor Swimming Pool.</p>
<p>There are just 10 electric hook-up pitches for tents, caravans and campervans, so it feels much more intimate than a large holiday park. Facilities include toilets, hot showers, washing-up facilities and chemical disposal. Families also have the community play area between the campsite and pool.</p>
<h2>Why stay here?</h2>
<p>The location is the real strength. You can walk into Lazonby, reach the Settle to Carlisle railway station on foot and use the site as a base for Long Meg, Lacy's Caves, Penrith and the wider Eden Valley.</p>
<h2>Swimming</h2>
<p>The neighbouring outdoor pool is a separate attraction and swimming admission is not included with a campsite pitch. The pool itself is seasonal, so check opening dates if a swim is part of your plans.</p>
<h2>Booking</h2>
<p>The campsite normally runs from Easter until the end of September. The official site says bookings should be made online in advance.</p>
