What to expect
Sticklefest, formerly Octoberfest, runs at Stickle Barn in Great Langdale from noon to 11pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It combines regional beer, food and music with a community-focused programme and supports local causes.
Camping is not included in a standard event ticket. Campervan pitches are separate, while the organiser lists National Trust Great Langdale Campsite and Baysbrown Farm as nearby alternatives. The event is not suitable for dogs or other animals.
General weekend tickets were advertised from about £150 plus booking fee when checked. LA22 residents can request a restricted £20 weekend pass after address verification. The organiser says tickets are non-refundable and, if it cancels for circumstances beyond its control, repayment is by a free future-event ticket rather than cash refund.
Good to know
A distinctive full-weekend festival in a superb valley. It rewards people who book nearby accommodation or use the bus; parking casually at the last minute is the weak plan.

Parking: Do not rely on parking at the door. Stickle Ghyll and New Dungeon Ghyll parking is limited and the valley road is narrow. Use the 516 bus where its timetable fits, pre-book accommodation transport or arrive very early.

Accessibility: Stickle Barn has established hospitality facilities, but the festival may use temporary and outdoor spaces on uneven rural ground. Contact the organiser before booking if step-free access, accessible toilets, seating or carer arrangements are essential.
Weather: Great Langdale weather changes quickly. Take waterproofs and warm layers; follow organiser instructions for any weather-related programme change.
